Our play is a stage adaptation of Mutanda oyom Namondo (meaning Mutanda searches for Namondo), an efik classic folk story written by E. E. Nkana. It tells the compelling story of King Mutandas search for his missing son, Namondo. It highlights the role of chance and fate in human life and introduces us to a range of characters with varying personalities, from the adventure-seeking hunter Ekpo Mosufe to the desperate Queen Edisua and the legendary, no-nonsense Atim Okpoebot!
